Si la montaña no va a Mahoma... (Parte 1)

No.

Bueno, pues eso mismo aplícalo a The Ghost of Porto…

Así que The Ghost of Porto decidió entrevistar a The Ghost of Porto, y este fue el resultado.

¿Quién es The Ghost of Porto?

Lately I've been thinking about how I can get more people to listen to the music of The Ghost of Porto and get to know the project, and do it organically. I'm not interested in paying to promote a post or a series of videos on social media just to see numbers that make me feel like this is going somewhere, knowing they're fake numbers driven by bots. No.

After sitting down in my thinking chair, I think the answer is to create content that has value for me. I asked myself: what would I want to know about the projects I'm interested in?

Well, apply that same idea to The Ghost of Porto… That should work to organically find the audience that might genuinely be interested in this project. It will be a long road, but we all know that what matters is exactly that: walking the road. What does it matter when you arrive? When that happens, it will all be over! What matters is the journey, and that's how I see this adventure: a road on which every person who comes to read this is a gem that will make this project shine. So if you're reading this, thank you, and I hope you fall in love with this project and that it helps you in your day-to-day life in some way.

The result of that time spent thinking, as a first approach, is this series of posts titled If Muhammad Won't Go to the Mountain…

They come with videos for social media, but honestly, I prefer the written version. It feels more intimate to me and, besides, that's how it's born: from writing. The audio and video are embellishments that, inherently, take the written piece into a new universe; neither better nor worse, but certainly new and completely different from the original.

I'll be talking about different things related to the project: the concept, the stories behind the songs, what I'm currently working on, etcetera… Without further ado, let's begin.

As the saying goes, "if the mountain won't come to Muhammad, Muhammad will go to the mountain."

So The Ghost of Porto decided to interview The Ghost of Porto, and this was the result.

Who is The Ghost of Porto?

The Ghost of Porto is a character I've created, one I call an Alien specimen, although in reality it looks more demonic… but it's an Alien.

Presumably, it arrived on this planet around 2016. As far as anyone knows, it was an accident caused by irresponsibly experimenting with gravitational engineering on its home planet, and well… it ended up here.

It's a music lover; since arriving here it has done nothing but consume music like crazy, and now it has taken to creating it too…

Let's Talk About the Music of The Ghost of Porto

The music of The Ghost of Porto tries to provoke a feeling in whoever listens to it. Any feeling is good, as long as you allow yourself to feel it, because that's what it's for: to be felt.

Whether it's sadness, euphoria, nostalgia, or even frustration, if the music of The Ghost of Porto made you feel something, then the goal was accomplished. And although that's something that can't be controlled, it can at least be intended, in the hope that it happens.
